DUST – A NEW HORIZON PROJECT WITH PHENO HORIZON

We are excited to share the wonderful news that PHENO HORIZON is embarking on a new and promising journey as part of the ambitious Horizon project titled “DUST – Democratic JUst Sustainability Transition.” This project represents a significant step forward in our commitment to democratic fostering of sustainable transitions.

At its core, the DUST project is dedicated to the creation and development of innovative participatory tools that empower citizens to take proactive actions in shaping a sustainable future. In an era marked by complex environmental challenges, it is imperative that we engage communities and individuals strategically in the decision-making processes that will guide us toward a more sustainable and just society.

One of the pressing concerns addressed by the DUST project is the erosion of democratic institutions across European Union countries. By recognizing and confronting this disheartening trend, the project seeks to redirect our collective focus toward people-centric solutions. It aspires to rejuvenate democracy by strengthening its roots and involving citizens in a meaningful and influential manner.

The DUST project is proudly spearheaded by the esteemed Technische Universiteit Delft, a renowned Dutch university known for its dedication to cutting-edge research and innovative initiatives. With their leadership, we are poised to make a lasting impact on the path to a more democratic, sustainable, and just world.

Collaboration is key to the success of such ambitious endeavors, and the DUST project is no exception. We are thrilled to be working in close partnership with universities from Sweden, Germany, and Poland, each bringing their unique perspectives and expertise to the table. Moreover, we have garnered support from prestigious universities in Switzerland and Great Britain, who share our vision of fostering a sustainable and democratic transition.

But it doesn’t stop there; the DUST project is a true testament to the power of collaboration across borders. Alongside our academic partners, a network of organizations from Belgium, the Netherlands, Sweden, Germany, and Poland is actively participating in this transformative journey, each playing a crucial role in driving the project’s mission forward.

As we embark on this exciting venture, we are filled with hope and determination to make a meaningful impact on our world. Together, through the DUST project, we will forge a path toward democratic, just, and sustainable transitions that benefit us all. Stay tuned for updates and be a part of this inspiring journey towards a brighter future.
